Biography

Frances Elizabeth Davis was born about 1793. Her place of birth is uncertain, but could have been in Amboy, New Jersey. She married Philip Westphal (1782-1880) on 7 Nov 1814 in Halifax. Philip's service in the Royal Navy took them to England. They lived on the Isle of Wight, Hampshire, England from 1838, in Carisbrooke in 1841 and in Ryde in 1851 and 1861. Frances died 31 May 1868 at Ryde, Isle of Wight without issue.
