Biography

This information is based on research around my relative Arvilla Ann Fenters. She married a man named James Louis Davis. In his obit, it gives his relatives names as Brother of Mrs. L Bennett, Mrs. Sarah Barnes, Mrs Mary Enders and Charles W. Davis and uncle of Miss Martha Barnes. Martha Barnes appears to have been living with L Bennett in San Francisco for many years but was shipped home to Springfield when she died. On the funeral records it says she had just arrived in SF, but I see her on the census many times. The birthdate changes frequently for her. Regardless, a woman named Anne Barnes at 310 W. Edwards Street in Springfield was billed for the funeral. From there I tracked down the census records and the like and put together this information.
