DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Christopher by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Christopher:

I have his wife, Mary, born in 1731 and she would have been 24 years of age when her first child, Arthur, was born in 1755. Either his father's age is wrong or we have the wrong father listed. Arthur is listed first in Christopher's will. I will give this more study. Thanks for your comment. We will get this right soon.

I do not see how he could be born in 1725 because I have his father Henry Davis being born in 1716.

I believe his correct birth year was 1725. I have corrected the mistake.

ai am trying to verify Christopher Davis' correct birthdate. If he was born in 1740 as shows on Find A Grave he would only be 14 years old when his first child was born. I have see dates from 1719 thru 1740 but can find no proof of any of these. Also Find a Grave states he was born in Virginia, but all his children were born in North Carolina.

Can anyone offer any support to his correct info?

Davis-25030 and Davis-38991 appear to represent the same person because: They are the same person . The one file has one of his children and the other file has the rest of the children

Hi Betty, You go to "Add" at the top of page and from the drop down choose Matches and Merges. Write in last names of each one to be merged and their profile numbers such as Davis- 25031 in one block and what ever you wish to merge with in the next block. The smallest number goes in the bottom block. Hope this helps. Punch merge and it will send. Wait for other managers to answer.
