Biography

Green was born in 1826. He was the son of Joshua Davis and Sarah French. He died in 1896.

The informant of his death from old age, was listed as Sarah Davis, wife. However, it appears that Sarah W. Thomas was his wife. The couple was married in 1854 in Mercer County^[1], and she died in 1888.^[2] The informant was most likely someone else and name captured incorrectly by person taking the death information unless he remarried the death of Sarah Thomas Davis..

According to the birth record of Louisa Alwilday Davis, she was the daughter of Green Davis and Sarah W. Thomas, not the wife of Green.^[3] I have removed Louisa as his wife. BJS
