Biography

Sarah McClain was born on January 20, 1871 in Tennessee to Uriah McClain and Elizabeth Scott.[1]

On October 26, 1893, Sarah married Richard Davy in Hardin County, Tennessee.[2]

Richard died on June 23, 1896.

According to the 1900 census, Sarah lived with her children, Clementine and Charles and her parents and siblings in Hardin County, Tennessee. [3]

On July 11, 1900, Sarah married Pinckney McClanahan in Hardin County, Tennessee.[4]

Sarah died on March 23, 1961 in Los Angeles County, California.[1]

She is buried in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Long Beach, California.[5]

Sarah Ellen McClain was my Great Grandmother. She was first married to Richard D Davy (not Davis but some spelled it Davie) and then to Pinkney McClanahan.
