Percy was born in 1875. He was the son of Richard Coleman Davis and Rose Mary Coney. [1]
His Mother died in July of 1877 (aged 39 years) and his Father died in February of 1879 (aged 34 years) leaving Percy and his three brothers to be cared for by different members of their extended family.
He started his Schooling at Devonport District School (New Zealand); admission date 25 July 1888, Reg. No; 1453. He was living with his Grandfather James Davis at the time.
During the 1st World War Percy was Chaplain to the Forces (4th Class). He spent time ministering on the Hospital ship Maheno. His next of kin was recorded as Mrs F. Black (cousin), Hauraki Road, Takapuna, Auckland, New Zealand. SERVICE NUMBER WWI: 3/3557
Percy married Ruth Mary Gardner in 1927.[2] They remained childless.
He died in 1955 at the age of 79.[3]
