Joe was born in 1898 to Charles H. Davis of Mitchell County, Georgia. When he passed away in 1924, he was buried in the Oak City Cemetery, Bainbridge, Georgia.[1] His sister, Charlie Mae, is buried nearby. His tombstone is inscribed: Served in the US Naval Reserve Force, During World War, From Oct 1, 1918 to Sept 30, 1921.
