Gretchen Davis

Hello. My name is Gretchen Davis. I recently became interested in my family genealogy because my mother was adopted, and when she was alive, she was unable to find out her birth mother's name. As I work on finding her biological parents, I decided to search further back into the genealogy my parents had already obtained of each of her adoptive parents, and my father's family tree. If I had the money to spend, I'd join or subscribe to the sites that cost. But, I don't, so I want to find as many "free" sites as possible. I don't have software. I'm trying to figure out how to start the family tree, and "add on" what's been done by others, without having to rewrite/type the information I have.
