Sidney Davis was born in 1908 at Islington, England to Arthur Davis and Mary Coleman.[1]
In the 1911 England census, Sidney was living at Wimbledon, Surrey with his parents.[2]

Sidney immigrated to Australia with his mother and siblings aboard the Geelong in 1914.[3]
Sidney was a carpenter with his father. He was well respected in the Local Church, a Preacher, Sunday School Teacher, Circuit Steward and leader in the Order of Knights.
He died of an infection contracted when he was in hospital for a hernia operation on 9 March 1934, aged 26 years.[4] Penicillin would have saved him.
A memorial eulogy was later written by his good friend Frank Nash who became the husband of Edith. An extensive obituary was written in the local paper.[5]
He is buried in the Methodist section of Parkes Cemetery.[6]
