Biography

Birth

Addie Davis was the daughter of Oz Davis and Pearl Greene who was the granddaughter of Elisha Greene, Sr, an original settler of the area that became Baker County, Florida. Addie was born on 5 Nov 1908 in Sanderson, Florida.[1][2]

Marriage

Her father Oz Davis and her future husband Manning Starling were best friends and Addie grew up admiring Manning. She determined at a young age that she would marry him. On 15 Sep 1929 they were married in Lake City, Florida. When they married Manning had 3 children from his first wife who died 17 Oct 1921. Manning and Addie had a further 6 children during their long marriage.[3]

Death

Addie died from Parkinson's Disease on 18 Dec 1987 in Macclenny, Florida.[4][5][6]
