Biography

John enlisted in the Florida 1st Cavalry, Company D on 16 Oct 1861 in Sanderson, Baker, Florida, United States.[1] His unit was dismounted on 13 May 1862 and reformed as the 11th Florida Infantry, Co D.[1]
Lieutenant John Davis served in the United States Civil War.
Enlisted: October 16, 1861
Mustered out: July 6, 1863
Side: CSA
Regiment(s): 1st Cavalry; 11th Florida Infantry, Co D
On 4 Aug 1862 he was elected 3rd Lt.[2] He died on 6 Jul 1863 of disease contracted in the war.[2]
