George C. C. Davis was shot with a pistol to the abdomen on Sep. 4, 1928 by his son-in-law Joe Hansberger while they were working at the saw mill. Mr. W.H. Davis of Rt. #1, Evans, GA was the informant. George also lived at the same address. George died in the University Hospital eight days later. Surgery and an autopsy were performed according to GA Death Certificate 25097.
