Research Notes
While Rosaline was born in New York, she did spend a portion of her childhood (before joining the Friedman household) in Detroit, Michigan. However, to date, citations that document her time of residence in Detroit have not been located.
Nickname: "Pretty". This was Rosaline's nickname while growing up and living in the Friedman household. [She may possibly have had that nickname previously as well; that fact is uncertain.] One reason for a nickname was the confusion caused by both young ladies in the house having such similar first names.[7]
