The Life Summary of Laoma Isabelle

When Laoma Isabelle Davis was born on 11 January 1879, in Delta, Texas, United States, her father, James G L Davis, was 59 and her mother, Isabella Rodgers, was 39. She married Walter Oleon Kennedy in 1901. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 5 daughters. She lived in Calera Township, Bryan, Oklahoma, United States in 1910 and Calera, Bryan, Oklahoma, United States in 1920. She died on 1 February 1961, in Durant, Bryan, Oklahoma, United States, at the age of 82, and was buried in Highland Cemetery, Durant, Bryan, Oklahoma, United States.

Everywhere except one document has her name as Oma, there is one (US 1880 Census) with the name of Laoma but I Oma is think correct.

1880 Census show name of Laoma but I have not found that name anywhere else. Having said that I do not have a copy of the birth certificate so I don't know which is the accurate name. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MFN3-JYH

The family story says that Oma and Walter eloped because the Davis family were not pleased that their daughter wanted to marry Walter in light of his revengeful killing of his uncle and subsequent conviction and incarnation. I have no proof that this story is true, however.
