Biography

Bessie was born 27 January 1902 in Scotia, Hampton County, South Carolina.^[1] She was the daughter of Albert Eugene DeLoach and Mary Catherine Daley.

She married Clinton Giles Appleby on 19 August 1917 in South Carolina, probably in Hampton County.^[2]

Bessie died on 25 June 1991 in Estill, Hampton County,^[3] and she is buried there in the Union Cemetery in Scotia.^[4]
