Elizabeth "Betsy" DeLong was born on the 18th of August 1806,[1] in Peru, Clinton, New York. She married Daniel Hennagir about 1820, most likely in Peru. Their first daughter, Dolly, was born in December of 1820, in Peru.[2]
In the year 1870, her husband Daniel was living with their son Lorenzo and his family in Bradford, Chickasaw, Iowa.[3] It is not yet clear where Betsy was, or why she was not with Daniel.
Betsy died on the 3rd of August 1891 in Bradford, Chickasaw, Iowa. She was laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery in Chickasaw County. [4] Other "Hennigar's" buried near her were David, George, John, Julia, Nancy, Melissa, Nathaniel and Phebe.[5]
