Fred DeMars was my great-grandfather and while I personally do not remember this story but my grandmother has told me enough times about.
Fred DeMars (my paternal grandma's father) lived with my grandparents for the last few years of his life. When I was just under two years old I got my jacket and went to Grandpa Fred beside because I wanted him to take me home. Of course he could't but he invited me to climb up on his bed and he told me stories instead.
