Abraham was born before 1766. He is the son of Andries DeWitt and Maria DePue.


Abraham DeWitt was bp. on May 11, 1766 at Wawarsing, Orange County, New York. Baptism was recorded at the Reformed Dutch Church of Wawarsing, Ulster County, New York[1]. No sponsors/witnesses were named.
