Delucius was born in 1796. He died in 1871. [1]
Delucius was a soldier in the War of 1812: Cap. L. Hutching's Co., Col. Matthew Myers reg. His picture comes from a family album. That same album contains a photo with the identity "Uncle Ben DeWitt" written at the bottom. The identities written at the bottoms seem to be by Delucius' granddaughter Marie Antoinette Price (Jane DeWitt's daughter).
In the 1850 census he is listed in the household of Roland Price.
The 1879 history writes that a Moses DeWitt came to Salisbury Center from CT in 1795. In the photo album of Jane DeWitt from which the primary picture of this profile was taken there are two other pictures from that area: one labeled Uncle Ben DeWitt, the other of a young boy Uncle Ben DeWitt's son.
MyHeritage.com gives two other daughters:
Nancy Miranda, Mary Coretha
