Pierre de Coubertin, historien et pédagogue français, est connu comme le père des Jeux Olympiques de l'ère moderne.
Charles Pierre Frédy de Coubertin est né le 1er janvier 1863, 20 rue Oudinot à Paris (7ème arrondissement). Il est le fils de Charles Louis, baron Frédy de Coubertin, et d'Agathe Marie Marcelle Gigault de Crisenoy[1].
Il a épousé Marie Rothan le 11 mars 1895 à Paris (8ème arrondissement)[2].
Biography
Most notable for establishing the modern Olympics - "Father of the modern Olympic Games" - and served as President of the IOC until 1925 and was then named Honorary President for Life
