Biography

John Villiers was born circa 1377 (age 11-1/2 at his father's death) at Brooksby, Leicestershire, England.[1]

He inherited half of the estate of his "cousin" Simon Pakeman in 1391.[2]

During his minority he was the ward of Richard Assheby (abt.1330-aft.1391) of Lubbesthorpe, Leicestershire.[3]

He married Joan Mering, daughter of William Mering, circa 1403.[4]

In 1415 he appointed Thomas Assheby and his son Thomas Assheby with others as trustees of his estate.[3]
