Biography
Anna Dean ... Dr. Ingram delivered Annabel Dean Ellis at the family home. She was born on a Monday night. Dr. Ingram had to go between her and the deliveries of Tip Carrol, Cleo Hembry, and Billy Parker. She was the first female born into the family in fifty years. She used to say " My grandfather, Pappy, used to sit on the porch and say, "Somebody ought to whip that kid." No one ever did, so I still want everything my way." At the time of her birth her father was the book keeper for the lumber company and her grandparents owned a small grocery store. They lived on Greasy Creek. This according to her memories written down by her daughter, Susan Hance, and given to all family members on the occasion of Annabel's 80th birthday party. [1]
