Biography

Nathan was born in 1741. Nathan Dearman ..He lived with his parents in Yorkshire. He married Mary Huitson at age 22 and moved to Thorne. He became a greatly loved Quaker Elder. After his wife died, he went to live in Barnsley, until he married Mary Linskill of Whitby. His second wife passed away after less than a year of marriage, then moving to Scarborough. After his son-in-law James Backhouse died, he moved to Darlington with his widowed daughter, leaving his business interests in the hands of his sons.
