Heinrich Decker was born about 1817 in Hanover, and married 16 Jul 1847, so he might be brothers with Johann Christopher & Reimelt Decker in same database, all from Sievern, Hanover, Germany and married in New York City in same church. [1]

In the 1850 census, he was living in New York City, New York, with his wife, daughter Catherine age 1, and (brother?) Peter age 23, grocer.

In the 1855 NY census, he was living in Manhattan, New York, with his wife, and brother-in-law Henry "Kahn" = Koehne.

In the 1860 census, he was living in San Francisco, California, with his wife.

In the 1870 census, he was living in San Francisco, California, with his wife.
(His brother had also moved to San Francisco by then.)

Death date / location unknown.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Henry by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Henry:
