Biography

Sarah was baptized on 11 September 1709 in the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston, New York, recorded as the child of Hendrik Dekkeh and Antje Kwik. Witnesses were Jacob du Bois and Gerritje Nieuwkerk.^[1]

Sarah (Decker) Rosenkrans was born about 1709 in Ulster Co. NY., daughter of Hendrick Jansen Decker (<1667 - 1757) and Antje Quick (~1674 - ~1717).

Son, Daniel, Daughters, Lenah,(I believe this is He lena ) Blandenah, Kerche, (I believe this is supposedly Gertje) , each 5 shillings; and the rest I give to my wife and my other children, John, Hezekiah, Aulidaw (daughter) (I believe this is Alinda and Solomon, the last being under age. Land has been sold to Johanes Drake, for which he is to have title. Executors-- wife Katharine, and son John. Witnesses--Jacob Middaw, Deborah Middaw, John Herring. The date had to be 1748 since Sara was still living in Jun 1747 when their son , Solomon was baptized. This Solomon died and the second Solomon was the son of Katherine
