Thank you Finally! I didn’t do that someone else did this I’ve been trying for several years to get someone who did put Titsworth in my Decker family to take him an his family off. Period! see my note I put out to this person.ty

I’ve been about the last hour to cleanup or remove Mr Titsworth. Nothing is happening. I can’t figure why. Someone has removed an added some people one for sure is P. Quick. Their are sme Titsworth on Family search with the same Decker’s.
Since you are one of the one of the profile managers you should be able to remove it under the exit tab.

I have started the page Disambiguating Sara Decker to sort records and other information about the several women in this time and place who were named Sara/Sarah/Zara Decker/Dekker and the several men who are supposed to have been married to a woman of that name.

There are two different women named Sara Decker involved in this situation. Evidence for this is that Willem Titsoort and Sara Decker had a child baptized on 4 May 1746 with Jacobus Rosenkranz and his wife Sarah Decker as baptism witnesses. (See the record I posted on Willem Tietsoort's profile.)

These two different women have been confused/conflated. It is common to see this kind of situation in New Netherland Descendant families. They named children after their grandparents (following Dutch custom), but because they had complied with the British requirement to stop using patronymic names, we no longer have patronymic names available to tell the different grandchildren apart. Rather than insisting that there was no marriage between Willem Titsoort and Sara Decker, we need to see if we can find the evidence needed to distinguish the two Saras and get both of them documented as well as possible.

PS - The New Netherland project wasn't seeing these comments because they were posted as profile messages on a profile that isn't managed by the project. It wasn't managed by the project because the project wasn't aware of its existence. There is no automated mechanism to tell us when a new profile is created within the project's scope.

I have asked the person who added a husband, William Titsworth, marr 1733 he says to be removed from this family tree. Erroneous information. Look at the information and dates plus location to tell it is all wrong.
Decker-201 and Decker-4169 appear to represent the same person because: I ave some information to add would like to merge didn't see the Decker 201 profile till too late.
