John Dee was born in London in 1527, the only child of Rowland Dee and Joan(na) Dee, née Wild. His first marriage to Katherine Constable in 1565 remained childless. Widowed in 1575, he married Jane Fromond in 1578 with whom he had eight children. Widowed again in 1605, he himself died in 1609.
His mother is Jane ___ b.1503 d.Oct. 10, 1580 age 77.[1]
He notes his own birthday as "Dies natalis." (Private Diary, page 53)
