Lowe, Geneva 89, a proud native Texan of Milford passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014, at First Baptist Church, 101 Pecan Street, Milford, TX 76670, with Pastor Stephen Gilley officiating. Burial will follow at Milford Cemetery in Milford. Geneva was born August 14, 1924 in Hillsboro to Lottie Lou (Oliver) and Arnold Leroy Deese. She grew up in Bynum, where she graduated from high school, and she also attended Hillsboro Junior College. After college, she moved to Dallas, went to work at Schoellkopf, and met her future husband John E. Lowe, Jr. They were married on March 28, 1946. She was an avid reader and sports fan. She was affectionately known as "Little Woman" and "Sis". Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Leroy Deese; and half brother, James Oliver Jobe. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, John E. Lowe, Jr. of Milford; two sons, John A. Lowe and wife, Kristen, of Arlington and Dwight Lowe and wife, Renee, of Waxahachie; brother, Doyle Deese; half brother, Thomas Wayne Jobe; three grandchildren, Brad Lowe, Morgan Lowe, and Katie Lowe; and seven nephews and nieces. The family would like to express a special thanks to Anita Tune, Janet Campbell, and Robert "Buckeye" Walker for their loving care and kindness.
