She was in her parents' 1860 Lincoln County, North Carolina, census household, p. 112, dwelling 812, family 782: "Hester R. Dellinger age 4."
She was in her parents' 1870 Lincoln County, North Carolina, census household, p. 225, North Brook Township, dwelling 5, family no. 6: "Hester Dellinger age 14."
13 March 1874, Lincoln County Marriage License: John Westley Houser age 18 1/2, son of Elias and Mira Ann Houser both living, to Roxanna A. [sic H.] Dellinger age 18 1/2, daughter of Charles and Minny Dellinger both living. [The digital image of the license is almost illegible. The bottom of the license states the date of the marriage (which seems to read 14 March) and the witnesses present, but it is not legible.]
