Biography
"Private Henry K. Dellinger resided in Gaston Co. and enlisted in Co. E, 34th Regiment at Orange Court House, Virginia on 30 March 1864 for the War. Captured on the South Side Railroad, Virginia on 2 April 1865. Confined at Hart's Island in New York Harbor on 7 April 1865. Released at Hart's Island on 14 June 1865 after taking the Oath of Allegiance."[1]
