David was born in Dutchess, New York. he is the son of Johannes Delong and Anna Maria Brill.

David is in the 1810 census for Beekman, Dutchess, New York, age 26-45, with 3 females under 10, 1 female 16-26, 1 female age 26-45 and 1 female over 45 (perhaps his widowed mother)[1]

Estimated Birth He was under 45 in 1810 -> born after 1765. Named before his brother Peter in his father's Will -> born before 1777. 1770 is a compromise.
