Death
Eleanor (Dennis) Lygon survived her husband's death in September 1567. She was named in documents in 1579, leading many family genealogies to state she died "after 1579". However, her estate was not inventoried until March 2, 1585, demonstrating that she died shortly before that date.[6]
Elinor was buried on 27 January 1586/7 in Cheltenham, St Mary, Gloucestershire, England.[7] The parish register noted that she was Elinor Lygon, gent(lewoman) of Arle.

↑ Find A Grave: Memorial #175936304 retrieved 31 Dec 2018 states 1508 as do My Heritage & Geneanet sources. Her Ancestry.com profile says born in 1513 as does Storric.cnc.net. Geni.com & Our royal, titled, noble & common ancestors, both state born in 1515. Choosing "ca. 1513" as middle-ground; it makes better sense than 1508 as her 17-yr-old husband was born in 1512 & 16 was a marriageable age. Chet Snow.

From the records available on Ancestry, it looks as though the document dated 1585 was her will, rather than an inventory.* Will: "Gloucestershire, England, Wills and Inventories, 1541-1858" Gloucestershire Probate Records. Unusually, there doesn't appear to be an image available. However, the parish register image for her burial in Jan 1586/7 is very clear and the additional information in the register identifies her very particularly. Cheers, Elizabeth :-)
It would have been extremely unusual in that era for William aged 17 to contract to marry someone aged 21. Other sources give a birth date of c. 1515, making their children born when she was between about 14 and 43 rather than about 21 and 50.
Arle Court was inherited from William's mother's family, the Grevilles. It was not in Worcestershire but in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
I think the confusion on the merge is because of the Norwood name on this profile. No explanation of where it came from...Maybe if you added that information it would help us all understand if they are the same person.
Dennis-3251 and Dennis-265 are not ready to be merged because: These people's profiles do not appear to represent the same person. Postponed until further instructions are received.
