Biography

"Major William Alfred Charles Denny fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1900, with the Natal Field Force, where he was wounded three times, and was mentioned in despatches. He fought in the South China Campaign between 1902 and 1903. He was Colonel of the Corps of Guides, Canadian Militia Forces between 1903 and 1905. He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Army Service Corps. He was Deputy Controller of the Welfare Supervision Department in 1917 at Royal Arsenal, Woolwich, Kent, England. He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919. He was Director-General of Military Intelligence."
