Biography
Lucinda Katherine "Katie" Denton was born May 21, 1871 to James Allen Denton Sr. and Lucinda (Davis) Denton. She was the twin of James Allen Denton Jr.
She married E. Nathan Evans on May 27, 1891 in Angelina Co., Texas.[1]
Together they became the parents of Elijah Ernest Evans, Ethel M. (Evans) Chester, Fowler Nathan Evans, Garman William Evans, and Ruby R. Evans.
Nathan died in 1903. Katie died Sept. 13, 1905 and was buried in Largent Cemetery next to Nathan. Her younger children were raised by her siblings: Ruby to Florence, Ernest and Fowler to James Jr, and Garman to Charlie K.
