Biography
Pierre Desnoyers was born 2 Jan 1774 and baptized the following day in the parish of Saint-Mathieu-de-Beloeil, Belœil, Province de Québec. He was the son of Michel Desnoyers and Marie Anne Blain and his godparents were Pierre Desnoyers and Elisabeth Desnoyers. [1]
Pierre Dénoyer, son of Michel Dénoyer dit Démarais and Marie Blin, and Catherine Béçet, daughter of Joseph Béçet and Marie Françoise Barriere dite Langevin, were married 2 Feb 1795 in the parish of Saint-Mathias, Saint-Mathias, Bas-Canada. Present at the marriage were Michel Dénoyer father, Michel Dénoyer brother, Pierre Peuillier, François Beauvais, Toussaint Dénoyer uncles, Charles Beauvais cousin, Pierre Verret friend of the groom, Joseph Besset father, Joseph Besset brother, Charles Besset, Joseph Larocque, Pierre Benoit uncles, Charles Lebeau cousins, Daniel Benoit, François Macé and others. Pierre Desnoyers, widower of Marie Catherine Besset, and Charlotte Alaire, daughter majeure of Pierre Alaire and Marie Louise Payant, were married 4 Jul 1808 in the parish of Saint-Nom-de-Marie, Sainte-Marie-de-Monnoir, Bas-Canada. Present at the marriage were Michel Desnoyers father, Michel and Joseph Desnoyers brothers, Pierre Alaire father, François, Marie Felicité and Marie Catherine brother and sisters, Augustin Goguette and others. Pierre Desnoyers dit Demarais, widower of Charlotte Alaire and of the age of seventy-nine years, died 7 Oct 1848 and was buried the following day in the cemetery of Saint-Nom-de-Marie, Sainte-Marie-de-Monnoir, Canada-Est. Present at the burial were François Tétreau, Pierre Tefault and Timothée Rainville. [4]
