He was baptized Jean Baptiste Loié on day of birth. He married under the name Jean Baptiste Loyer in 1753. He was buried under the name Jean Baptiste Denoyer in 1797, 2 days after his death. He was given the age of 84 on his funeral record.[1]
He had an older brother of the same name, born 5 Feb 1705, baptized the next day under Jean Baptiste Loyé, who married Marie Françoise Couvret, daughter of Victor Couvret and Marie Thérèse Desmoulins, on 16 Aug 1734, Jean Baptiste being listed as 27, Françoise as 18. That Jean Baptiste Loyez died 31 Dec 1760, funeral on the same day in Repentigny, funeral record giving him 54 years of age. Françoise Couvret remarried in 1761 with Jean Chatos (sp?), of Lyon, France. Jean Denoyez was listed as the deceased spouse. [1]
Their father had remarried in 1728 with Marie Louise (Marie) Couvret, widow of Clément Groslier and daughter of Victor Couvret,[1] making for some strange relationship links in this family. Sister-in-law to her son-in-law. :D
