Biography

Amanda Melvina Devereux was born on October 29, 1822 in Byron, New York to John and Sophia (Cadman) Devereau. She married Oliver Parish on April 22, 1840 in Bergen, New York. They were the parents of Ellen Theodosia (born and died in 1843), John Devereaux (1845-1915), Minnie (born 1849), Eliphalet Huntington (1850-1929), Ella Sophia (1860-1933), and James Oliver (1864-1933). She died on August 26, 1884 in Denver, Colorado at the age of 61, and was buried in Fairmount Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
