Biography

Sir Walter Devereux was the son of Sir Walter Devereux, Sheriff of Herefordshire, Constable of Builth Castle (b. c 1359, d. 20 Jun 1401) and and Agnes Crophull (b. c 1372, d. 3 Feb 1436).^[1] He was was born about 1387^[2] at Weobley & Bodenham, Herefordshire, England.^[3] He died in 1420^[2] at Newbold Verdon, Leicestershire, England.^[3]

Walter married Elizabeth Bromwich (b. c 1391), daughter of Sir Thomas Bromwich and Alice Oldcastle, circa 1410 at Weobley & Bodenham, Herefordshire, England.^[4] (see research notes below)
