Biography

Silas DeWitt was one of those who paid with his life in WWI.

In the 1891 census Silas was living in Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada.[1]

Silas was born in October 1894 in New Brunswick. He was the son of George Sidney DeWitt and Caroline Amanda Rockwell.[1][2]

In the 1901 census Silas (age 6) was living in Simonds, Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada.[3]

In the 1910 census Silas (age 15) was living in Ludlow, Aroostook, Maine.[4]

In the 1911 census Silas (age 16) was living in Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada.[5]

In 1914 Silas (age about 19) was living in Canada.[6]

Silas died at the age of 23 on 31 October 1917 at Belgium.[6]
