A daughter of John & Lydia (Hill) Dibble, Lydia was born in 1731.[1] She had at least three known brothers and one sister.[2]
She married Elijah Birge in 1751.[3]
They had three children together: Rhoda, David and Elijah II.
Elijah died in 1756 and she was widowed.
She remarried to Billious Hill in 1758 [4], then they moved to Vermont.
They had three children together: Chloe, Rueben and Mabel.
Lydia Hill passed away in 1805.[5]

This is not the same person as Lydia Birge Root, who was also born in Connecticut and died in Vermont. This is also not the same person as the Lydia Birge born 1789 in Massachusetts.
Lydia’s first husband, Elijah Birge, is twin brother to Elisha Birge. Many sources have confused this over the years.
Lydia Dibble is first-cousin to Billious Hill.
