Biography

Laura D Williams was enumerated as wife of the head of household in Civil Districts 15, 18, Carroll County, Tennessee for the June 4, United States Census, 1900. She was noted as born August 1867 in Tennessee and had been married fifteen years. She was the mother of six children of which five were still living. Also included in the household are head Joe R Williams, daughter Mary Williams, son Benj C Williams, daughter Verlie Williams, son Joe R Williams, son Joseph Williams and mother Francis A Williams as seen in an image of the original census.^[1]

Laura Williams was enumerated as wife of the head of household at Civil District 15, Carroll County, Tennessee for the April 16, United States Census, 1910. She was noted as born 1866 in Tennessee and had been married twenty-five years. She was the mother of six children of which five were still living as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Joe R Williams, daughter Mary Williams, son Bennie Williams, daughter Verley Williams, son Jae R Williams Jr. and son Joseph Williams.^[2]

Laura Williams died March 9, 1945 in Buena Vista, Carroll County, Tennessee. She was seventy-seven. On her death certificate is listed that her father is Joe Ream Williams but that is her husband. Laura Dickerson is listed as her mother but that is her maiden name.^[3]

As listed in the Find A Grave Index,^[4] Laura Dickerson Williams is buried at McAuley Cemetery in Buena Vista, Carroll County, Tennessee.^[5]
