Tertullus Dickinson came to New Brunswick after the Revolutionary War in the US. Tertullus petitioned for land on Ship Point in the Gagetown area in 1787. It does not appear on maps today. Also found on Grant Reference Map #149 was Lot #5 in the Queenstown area in Hampstead which had been granted to Tertullus Dickinson & Adolphus Humphrey. This lot was on the Saint John River 8 miles south of his father-in-laws. About 2 miles North of Tertullus was Lot#16 granted to Reuben Chase & Jesse Scudden. A little farther North was lot#26 granted to W. Chase. Interestingly Lot#33 in Greenwich on Long Reach not far from Tertullus was granted to Tamberline Campbell, probably the father of Sally Campbell who married Arden Dickinson in September, 1792. Tertullus eventually settled in the Woodstock area of New Brunswick.
