1815 Jane Dickinson is baptised on the 31st of December at Holy Trinity Church in Minchinhampton, Gloucestershire, England, where the family are living. She is the daughter of George Dickinson, a horse dealer, and Martha Moody.[1]
1817 Jane is only 2 years old when her mother Martha is buried on the 9th of April at Holy Trinity Church in Minchinhampton. She is aged 34.[2]
1821 Her sister Elizabeth Appleyard Dickinson is buried on the 7th of September at Holy Trinity Church in Minchinhampton, aged 13. The family are living in Minchinhampton.[3]
1833 She is married by banns to Joseph Halliday on the 27th of March at Holy Trinity Church in Minchinhampton. They both sign the register and the witnesses are sister Ann Dickinson and William Halliday.[4][5]
1834 Eldest son Samuel Halliday is baptised on the 30th of March at Holy Trinity Church in Minchinhampton. [6]

Son Samuel marries Martha Melsome of Rodborough on the 28th of June at Holy Trinity Church in Brimscombe. They both sign the register and the witnesses are Henry and Harriet Wilkins. Martha is the daughter of John Melsom, a butcher. [13]

1886 Eldest son Samuel dies on the 21st of August 1886 at Wall's Quarry aged 52 and is buried 4 days later at Holy Trinity Church in Brimscombe. [19][20]
BRIMSCOMBE DEATH OF MR SAMUEL HALLIDAY,—We are sorry to have to record the death of Mr Samuel Halliday, of Wall's Quarry, Brimscombe, who was well known in the neighbourhood and greatly respected. Although Mr Halliday had been ailing for some little time past. his illness was not such as to give cause for alarm, until a few days before his death, when a sudden change took place, and he sank very rapidly. His death, so unexpected, has caused great sorrow amongst his numerous friends and relatives. He was interred in Brimscombe Churchyard on Wednesday. The funeral was largely attended. [21]
Husband Joseph Halliday dies 10 days later at Burleigh aged 74. [22][23]
He is buried on the 6th of September at Holy Trinity Church in Minchinhampton. [24]
Probate is granted to Harriet Wilkins (wife of Henry Wilkins) of Brimscombe, surviving executor, on the 20th of November at Gloucester. Personal estate £79 4s.[25]
BRIMSCOMBE. Death of Mr Joseph Halliday. We have [to] record the death, after a long and painful illness, of Mr Joseph Halliday, an old inhabitant of Burleigh. He had lived in the same house for half a century, and was generally respected. Mr Halliday survived his son only a week. [26]
1890 On the 6th of June Jane makes her last will and testament, describing herself as of the Nag's Head, Burleigh, witnessed by Charles Mortimer and Charlotte Mortimer of Burleigh. She appoints nephew Joseph Halliday of Church Farm, Devizes Road, Swindon and grandson William Wilkins of Swell's Hill as executors. [25]

Probate is granted to Joseph Halliday house agent and William Wilkins farmer on the 13th of September at Gloucester Registry. Effects £110 2s 7d.[25]
