Do you have a source for the birthdate of John? If he was born in 1672, he would have been 16 when he married an older woman. In "U.S., New England Marriages Prior to 1700" he is listed as being born in 1652.
Also, this may be an entirely different John Dickinson than the one who married Susannah Smith, as North America, Family Histories, 1500-2000 show that his parents should be Frances Foote, 1629-1678 and John Dickinson, 1624-1676. Joseph and Pheobe are in the same marriage record book as Jonathan and Susanna, but born nearly at the same time. They did have a son named John in 1672, but not the one who married Susannah. The one we want is Dickinson-2711, although the two should not be merged.
Could you please get back with me, because I would like to have the correct lineage for John in my wikitree.
I'm doing some work on the family of Joseph and Phebe (Bracy) Dickinson. As below, their son John was born in Northampton, 2 May 1672.
Reference--John Dickrson 1672 birth in Walter E. Corbin and Robert J. Dunkle, Northampton, Massachusetts, Vital Records (Boston: New England Historic Genealogical Society, [____]), 11 (1672); digital images by subscription, AmericanAncestors.
