Biography
Florence's marriage records list her as having a middle name of B but all else matches her birth record. It could be that her parents gave her two middle names which were regularly improperly recorded by the towns and Florence preferred one name over the other and her parent's preferred the other one when given the chose to use only one. Isaiah is also listed without a name on his birth record and goes by William after his marriage in all records.

WATERVILLE -- Florence M. Forbes, 96, died peacefully Feb. 9, 2008, in Presque Isle.
She was born April 18, 1911, in Norridgewock, the daughter of Miles and Albertha (Annett) Dickinson. Mrs. Forbes enjoyed family gatherings and had many hobbies, including flower gardening, crocheting, decorating, making quilts and traveling.
She is survived by one son and three daughters, William Forbes and his wife, Warrena, of Washburn, Gloria Flannery and her husband, Ruel, of Fort Fairfield, Phyllis Anderson of Orange City, Fla., and Janet Erickson and her husband, Richard, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Forbes was predeceased by her husband, William E. Forbes, in 1986, after 55 years of marriage; and three sons, Philip W. Forbes in 2004, Donald C. Forbes in 2000 and Richard Z. Forbes in 1937.
