Biography
Johann's parents are supposedly Joseph and Margaret (maiden name unknown) Diebold. These names are according to his death record from the state of Wisconsin. No information is listed about his parents such as their birth place. A funeral card prepared by his wife indicates he was born in Elsass-Zaberne (Saverne, Alsace). I (Jade Schmitt) have been methodically checking the Bas-Rhin vital records available online but have not yet located a birth record for Johann.
