Johann Conrad Dieffenbach married Anna Unknown. Some records claim that Anna's family name was Mather, but not documented.

He died about 1703.[3]

Research notes

Note HI600(Research):There is some question about whether Johan is the ancestor of Johan Conrad, who came to America, or if he is descended from Johan's brother Michael.: Note: #HI600[4]

George Lloyd Irgang’s comment: According to the Dieffenbach genealogists of D. Armstadt, Germany, Johann Conrad Dieffenbach baptized 24 Feb 1634 is the father of Johann Conrad Dieffenbach born 1659. Lacking definitive evidence for this, I am inclined to think that Johann Michael Dieffenbach baptized 1636 was the father of our immigrant ancestor who came to America in 1710. At any rate Johann Adam named one of the sons Michael, and he had a sister named Dorothea

Some records claim a birth year of 1624. Perhaps this is a transcription error? Birth (?) 24 Feb 1624. Germany[5]Birth (?) 24 Feb 1624. Germany[6]

Dieffenbach-59 and Dieffenbach-8 appear to represent the same person because: Probably the same person because dates, locations and spouses match. However, there is some discrepancy for the children between the two profiles.
