The son of Elwood Manning and Elva Ann (Lisle) Dill, Edson was born in Franklin County, Ohio on 8 May 1908. He passed away in Newark, Ohio on 4 May 1979 at the age of 70.
Edson married Lillian Dorothy Love on 25 Aug 1935 in Perry County, Ohio.
He was an electrician by trade.

EDSON M. DILL
Edson M. Dill, 70, of Thornville, died at 9 p.m. Friday at Licking Memorial Hospital following surgery. A retired electrician, Mr. Dill was born May 8, 1908, near Obetz, a son of Elwood and Elva Lisle Dill. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church at Thornville, Capital City F&AM 656 and Southern Way Chapter OES 467.
Surviving are his wife, Lillian; one son, David of Thornville; one brother, Luther of Columbus; and one grandson.
Service will beheld at 10a.m. today at Charles R. Boring Funeral Home at Thornville with Rev. Don Bachman officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Reformed Cemetery.
