Rosie died suddenly from a stroke while peeling potatoes at home. She was originally buried at the Riverside Cemetery (behind the Methodist Church) in Phillips, ME, but her husband donated land to the Town of Norridgewock for a cemetery (Sunset View Cemetery) in 1947 and moved her body to this new cemetery.
