John Dill (known as "Sr." in contemporary records), born in January 1726 in Kent County Delaware,[1]was the son of William & Mary Dill.
John married Mary Ann Barrett and together they had seven children[2]:
1) Archibald C. Dill (1748-1838) married Rebeckah Loftis
2) Richard Dill (1751-1839) married (possibly) Ann Loftis
5) John Dill Jr. (1759-1846) married Mary Ann Fisher
6) Stephen Dill (1765-1837) married Mary "Polly" (probably Pike)
7) Lydia Dill ( ~1767-1847) married John Abraham Randolph
A John Dill was found as Admin of George Melechop/Melowchop
in 1774 in [3]
in 1775 p392 John Sr. as wit to will of Sarah Loftis,
in 1776 p430 John and Wm as wit to will of Thomas Kelly
in 1787 p393 John as wit to will of David Perkin
on 2 Feb 1792 p452 Will of John,Esq., Admin of will to Letitia Dill & Henry Molleston. Heirs: Zipporah, Hester and Andrew Dill; Sarah White, wife of
Solomon; Ann Walton, Mary Walker.
A John died (probably) in August 1809 and is probably buried in Mush Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Greenville County, South Carolina.[1]
