John Thomas Dillon was born on 21 February 1937 in New York City.[1] His parents were Thomas Dillon and Margaret (Sheeran) Sheridan.[2]
He appears in the 1940 U.S. Census living with his parents and three siblings (Joseph McDonagh, age 13; Patricia McDonagh, age 12; Margaret Dillon, age 5) at 767 East 152nd Street, Bronx, New York.[3]
He married Margaret "Peggy" McGovern in 1964.[4] They don't appear to have had any children.
John T. Dillon died on 8 September 2006.[5][2][6] He and his wife are buried together at Holy Cross Burial Park and Mausoleum in East Brunswick, New Jersey.[7]

John Thomas Dillon, 69, of Monroe Township died on Friday, Sept. 8, 2006, at home.
Born and raised in New York City, he lived in Franklin Park for 30 years before settling in Monroe Township four years ago.
Mr. Dillon worked for General Motors in New York City for more than 25 years. Thereafter, he worked for Merrill Lynch in Somerset before retiring in 1992.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Predeceased by his wife, Margaret, his brother, Joseph, and his sister, Francis Wayne, he is survived by a sister, Margaret Wells; his nieces and nephews, Theresa (Meyer) Bell, Susan Jones, Dorothy Meyer, Walter and Joseph Wayne, Patti and Joseph McDonough, and many others including his great-nieces and nephews who lived with him.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday from the Highland Park Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 75 Woodbridge Ave., Highland Park, followed by a 10:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial from Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Friends and family may call Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the family to be used towards the college educations of his greatnieces and nephews, would be appreciated.
